Accurate topographic surveys, GPR utility mapping and 3D laser scanning support the safe installation of EV charging infrastructure across Network Rail sites.

The car parks surveyed form part of several key Network Rail sites serving major stations and transport hubs across the UK. These locations provide essential parking and access for passengers and staff.

As part of a nationwide sustainability programme, the sites are being upgraded with new electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. CADS Surveys was appointed by Poise Group, now Brush Group, to deliver topographic surveys, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) utility mapping surveys and 3D laser scanning to create Revit models, across this multi-site project.

The survey data accurately captured existing surface features, underground utilities and surrounding structures, enabling the safe and efficient design and installation of EV charging points while reducing the risk of utility clashes during construction.
