Measured Survey & 3D Revit Model of Abbey Road Studios

Originally a nine-bedroom Georgian townhouse built in 1831, No.3 Abbey Road was acquired in 1929 by the Gramophone Company, a predecessor of British music company EMI, which owned it until Universal Music Group took control of part of it in 2013.

Abbey Road Studios remains the most famous recording studio in the world and a global music icon. It is synonymous with the Beatles as the band’s stomping ground during the 60s and the place where they recorded most of their songs.

In 2023, CADS Surveys was commissioned by Level Acoustic Design to undertake a measured survey of the largest of the three studios, Studio 1 Live room, capable of holding a 100-piece orchestra. We also created a structural 3D Revit ® model to facilitate proposed refurbishment works.
