Measured Survey of Historic Holt Hall for Educational Redevelopment

Acquired by Norfolk County Council in 1947, Holt Hall was used as an Outdoor Learning Centre until 2020, offering residential and day experiences for schoolchildren. In 2022, the council sold Holt Hall to Gresham’s School for continued educational use.

The main hall of this Grade 2 listed building comprises 4 floors with several associated outbuildings, a walled garden and includes 86 acres of woodland and lakes.

As of 2025, the building is undergoing restoration, with plans to integrate a new extension, which will be part of Gresham’s new prep school, set to open in 2026.

CADS Surveys was commissioned to undertake a measured survey of the main hall, associated outbuildings and the walled garden for use by project architects Wilkinson Eyre and a Utilities Mapping (GPR) and Topographic Survey for Daniel Connal Partnership.
