Supporting Infrastructure Upgrades at Scunthorpe Steelworks

Born out of a merger of three plants in the early 1900’s Scunthorpe Steelworks is the UK’s sole source of primary (virgin) steel using blast furnace technology, critical for railway infrastructure projects and large-scale building constructions.

The facility spans 2,000 acres and employs around 2,700 staff.

CADS Surveys was commissioned to undertake a measured survey covering 2 acres of the site to facilitate the removal of an existing flare stack and some other large elements of plant and the construction of a new flare stack to the North East corner of the survey demise.
